Multi-Page Design
In this project, I took my typography knowledge a step further by delving into the micro aesthetics of typography. Here, the aim of this project was first decide an article, a book or a magazine which has already been published and then create a new and developed version of it. I chose the 29th issue of the photography magazine named "Foto Muhabiri". The typographic order, the replacement of photographs and the relationship between the photographs and texts were a bit mixed and confusing for the reader so I wanted to look from different perspective and especially focus on the Ara Güler part of the magazine. I did content research by reading lot of materials, then did many sketches, decided my paragraph and character style and finally blended all the information and research in harmony.
Ara Güler, who I appreciate and admire a lot, is one of the most significant, enlightened and influential figure for Turkey. He was "one of Turkey's few internationally known photographers". Ara Güler was an Armenian-Turkish photojournalist also nicknamed "the Eye of Istanbul" or "the Photographer of Istanbul".
